Manjunath, the son and disciple of renowned violinist Prof. S. Mahadevappa,

ranking violinist in India

tender age of 8 when he stormed in to the music world sweeping all the
music lovers & critics off their feet by his extraordinary musical
acumen and technical virtuosity. Acclaimed as child prodigy with
astonishing musicianship, Manjunath matured blossoming as one of the
leading Instrumentalist in the contemporary musical scene. His marvelous
imagination and technical versatility made him one of the brilliant
Violinists in the annals of Indian Music.
His style of violin playing is recognized as one of the best in the art
of violin playing and is designed by his father. It is marked by the
strict adherence to the classicism, perfect blend of emotive appeal,
technical mastery, intellectual sophistication, incredible virtuosity and

Dr. M. Balamurali Krishna, Tejendra Narayana Majumdar, Ronu Majumdar, etc.
Violin Concerts of Maestro Dr. Manjunath have been featured in innumerable
Music festivals & conferences all over the world. Manjunath has been
awarded A - Top Ranking at very young age in india. Excelling academically
as well, Dr. Manjunath did his Degree in violin, securing First Rank and a
Gold Medal & Master of Music at the University of Mysore,
securing First rank and 4 Gold medals. He continued his research activities
resulting in preparing a scholarly thesis on violin in Indian classical
music for which The University of Mysore awarded a doctorate Degree.
Currently Dr. Manjunath is on the faculty, Dept. Of Music, University of Mysore. Despite his hectic
schedules, he is guiding a number of Researchers in music in the PhD
program. Dr. Manjunath is the First ever-Indian violinist to be invited to
perform at the Prestigious International Violin conference held in
Sandiego. His outstanding performances at the Violin conference won him
great admiration at the International level.
Dr. Manjunath has association with many outstanding musicians from all over
the world including top western classical and country violinist-Mark O
Connor, Internationally acclaimed composer Jai Uttal, Famous Italian
Guitarist Priyo, Joe Cravin, Mark wood, Fred Hamilton, Nade Richards &
well known Rock Violin star - Mark wood. Dr. Mysore Manjunath has a number
of CD albums to his credit.
Laurels & accolades kept pouring in
right from his childhood. Dr. Manjunath is one of the youngest musicians to
be honored with the prestigious Rajyothsav Award by the Government of
Karnataka. He received innumerable awards including the Best Violinist
awards from The Music Academy and Indian fine arts society, Excellence
award from American Institute of World culture, honors from the American
Arts council, Aarkay, Inc, Sangeetha Samrat, Sangeetha Rathna, Aryabhata
honors, Sathyashri, Samskruthi Sinchana Award, Meritorious Award from
University of Oklahoma-USA etc.
